Capping off a season of steady improvement, if nothing else the Flex Racing team would certainly be in line for the “Most Improved” award for first breaking into the “teens” and then setting the World Record for an Automatic (Powerglide) Procharged car with a 4.141 lap at Orangeburg.
The icing on the cake was winning the points championship in Orangeburg’s “Open” Pro Mod (Nitrous) series. This was significant because in this open series Flex Racing regularly went up against Pro Mod cars using manual transmissions which all others things being equal, gives them a performance edge. In The Quick 8 Outlaws series, 4 semi final, 2 quarter final and one final round appearance gave Ric and crew a runner up finish in the 2007 points race.
With their dedication to constantly improving their program the future looks bright for Flex Racing and with power by Procharger and Petty, there seems to be little doubt that the 2008 season will be the best yet!
